Take 5 with Kimberly
Reflect! The holidays & a New Year ahead, this is a time to Reflect! Reflect on the past year… look back at your calendar and your schedule and look at how much you have accomplished both personally and professionally. What are you proud of, what do you wish you had done differently? Another year is behind you, and another is in front of you. What will you continue to do and what will you change?
Take out a sheet of paper and make some columns, label them in a way that makes sense to you, I used accomplishments, missed the mark, learned, and then I have a separate piece of paper for 2023 for the goals, tasks and miscellaneous that need to be carried forward with new deadlines and intention. I also use two different colors of ink, one for work and one for my life outside of work. Give yourself time to do this exercise as well, it is not a quick exercise if you want to get the most out of it.
I went through this exercise recently while sitting on an airplane for 4 hours, went through my paper planner, the calendar on my phone and my photos and made notes about my year. I reviewed the year, and I made notes on the 2023 page of the things I wanted and needed to do, so I don’t forget to make time for them. I am fortunate, I accomplished quite a few of my goals for 2022 and am blessed by the abundance of JOY and the memories made both professionally and personally. It was a FULL year. The items under, missed the mark column, I either learned from or can learn a lot from, which is beneficial as I plan 2023. I will share more in the next couple of weeks of how this looks for me both professionally and personally, as well as some of the fun stuff.
Most importantly, with the holidays upon us, reflect on the love you have in your life and end 2022 with a grateful, hopeful, and FULL heart.
Wishing you and yours the happiest of Holidays,
Always,
Kimberly
