Schedule 2023

Updated: Apr 13, 2023

Take 5 with Kimberly

Schedule! I often hear clients and friends talk about being more organized. I too, often say I need to be more organized and for the most part, I am very organized. One of the best ways to get organized and STAY organized is to SCHEDULE everything. I mean everything! I know that things come up, and life happens, kids get sick, a friend calls with a favor, a client needs something right away, but overall if you have a schedule, you will be more productive as a rule and will not get derailed when things do pop up, as you will have a handle on your time.

I schedule just about everything… my morning tea, when to take my vitamins, shower, check email, socials, client work, etc. It may look like a lot at first, but I assure you, once you get in the habit of “making the time” it will become just that, a habit…and you will be surprised at how quickly it does and blown away by how productive you are both professionally and personally.

How many times do we make new year’s resolutions to eat healthier, take our vitamins, exercise, spend more time with friends? If you block the time out, you are more apt to follow through, and once something becomes a standing appointment with someone, client, partner, friend, YOURSELF, it becomes a bit harder to ignore.

You will be amazed if you schedule your time REALISTICALLY, and honor that schedule as best you can, you will manage your time more efficiently. This process takes some practice, and you will tweak it along the way and interesting see where you need more time and what tasks take less time. It is also a great benchmark at the end of a day or week to see all that you have accomplished.

"A plan is what, a schedule is when. It takes both a plan and a schedule to get things done."
